Dassault Systèmes Ranks Highest among PLM Providers in Consumer Goods Technology’s 2010 Readers’ Choice Survey

For the Second Consecutive Year, Dassault Systèmes Tops PLM Competitors for New Product Development & Introduction.

LOWELL, Mass — Dassault Systèmes has announced that it was ranked as one of the leading New Product Development & Introduction providers in the 2010 Readers’ Choice Survey from Consumer Goods Technology (CGT), a business-to-business publication serving more than 58,000 decision-makers in the consumer goods industry.

In the New Product Development & Introduction category, Dassault Systèmes’ ENOVIA solution ranked fourth overall, with Dassault Systèmes highest among PLM solution providers for the second consecutive year beating competitors like PTC and Siemens as well as specialty providers.

The tenth annual edition of the 2010 Readers' Choice Survey draws on feedback from consumer goods executives to rank service and solution providers in 10 categories. This benchmark survey conducted by CGT is the premier resource for consumer goods executives evaluating future business and technology investments.

“Dassault Systèmes’ technology plays a crucial role for customers in the new product development process,” said Alliston Ackerman, editor, CGT. “With the company’s dedicated PLM solutions designed specifically for consumer goods companies, it’s no surprise to see them ranked in the top half of the New Product Development & Introduction category.”

DS’s ENOVIA V6 PLM solution delivers industry specific, collaborative business process management capabilities, combined with cutting edge tools for design, engineering and production planning on the industry’s most robust enterprise PLM platform. DS V6 helps companies deliver on their strategic initiatives around the transformation and acceleration of product development, manufacturing and enterprise collaboration processes.

“Our PLM technology provides the necessary foundation for consumer goods companies and retailers to create consumer-centric products in better, faster and smarter ways to combat fierce competition, tackle profit pressures and address changing consumer preferences,” explained Rosemary Grabowski, vice president, CPG Market Development, Dassault Systèmes.

“This recognition is a testament to our commitment to helping customers achieve profitable, successful innovation, faster than their competitors while significantly increasing overall organizational efficiency,” said Susan Olivier, director, Retail, Footwear and Apparel Market Development, ENOVIA, Dassault Systèmes.
