Stockholm - Tacton Systems, a global vendor of product configuration software, is pleased to announce the appointment of Tobias Andersson as Vice President for TactonWorks Sales. TactonWorks is a SolidWorks Gold Partner product for Rule-based Design Automation, supporting manufacturers in automatically generating customized 3D models and drawings for quotations as well as manufacturing.
Tobias Andersson has an extensive knowledge of the CAD industry in which he has been working for over 15 years, with a great track record of success. Tobias Andersson has worked for Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks as Country Manager for the Nordic region. His primary task during his 6½ years at SolidWorks was to build up and develop both the local SolidWorks team and the SolidWorks reseller channel. Prior to working at SolidWorks, Tobias worked as a Sales Manager at GCS Scandinavia AB and was instrumental in bringing the Swedish PDM software product, Conisio to the market. Conisio was later acquired by SolidWorks in 2006.
Tacton’s EVP Klas Orsvärn says ”We are proud that Tobias Andersson has decided to join our team. He brings extensive experience in how to support the DS SolidWorks reseller channel and build a strong sales culture. Our technology reduces the complexity of design automation, and Tobias will further improve our ability to bring it to the market.”
“After having worked with Tacton Systems AB as a strategic advisor during 2009 I have seen the enormous potential of productivity gains that companies can get with a product configurator and design automation tool, and TactonWorks is the only tool that handles the challenges of these complex tasks. I am now very excited to join this great team of Tacton in my role as VP of TactonWorks World Wide Sales and I see huge opportunities for growth in the market. We have set the target high and our ambition is to make design automation a mainstream tool” says Tobias Andersson.
