BANGALORE - Symphony Service Corp., a provider of software product engineering services, today announced a five-year, multi-million dollar software development and services deal with MSC.Software. Symphony Services will play a key role in engineering innovative new software products for MSC.Software, while developing joint go-to-market professional services for MSC.Software's manufacturing customers.
Symphony Services' Engineering Services offerings span complex product design, analysis, manufacturing and product management using CAD, CAE, CAM and PLM tools to engineer products for leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMS), and to manage core product development lifecycle (PDLC) services for independent software vendors (ISVs) who create these tools.
"Our goal is to rapidly provide innovative solutions to our customers that have dramatic positive impact on their business. Symphony Services has become a force multiplier for us to achieve this," said Dominic Gallello, President and CEO of MSC.Software. "They set the standard for professionalism."
In addition to partnering with MSC.Software to engineer cutting-edge software for SimXpert and Patran, MSC.Software's award-winning solutions, Symphony and MSC.Software will implement joint go-to market services that are in high demand among MSC.Software's manufacturing customers. Symphony Services has developed a sophisticated meshing factory to manage mass scale, complex mesh creation and pre-processing customization. The two companies will also jointly develop and market professional services focused on SimManager implementation and domain-centered analysis using MSC products.
With its newly created Global Operations Center (GOC) in India, Symphony Services is working with MSC.Software on the development of its flagship CAE and simulation products. Symphony and MSC.Software will jointly work across all aspects of the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) for SimManager, SimExpert and other MSC key products. Additionally, Symphony Services will ultimately become a certified services partner providing both complex CAE/simulation system implementation and ongoing services across thermal, structural, fluid and kinetic domains for enterprise, automotive and aerospace clients.
"We remain steadfast in our devotion to exceeding our most demanding clients' expectations for quality of work and breadth of offerings," said Alok Sinha, Senior Vice President, Engineering Services, Symphony Services. "We're excited about the innovative solutions that we'll be engineering with MSC.Software and look forward to sharing our expertise with MSC.Software's many manufacturing customers around the world."
Symphony Services' CAD, CAE, CAM and PLM Expertise.
Anticipating the significant market potential of engineering services, Symphony Services formed an engineering services COE in early 2008, and the company has now brought to market a comprehensive portfolio of capabilities across CAD/CAE/CAM and PLM. Symphony Services' product development and engineering experts will apply the most advanced methodologies and computational engineering tools in the design, development and utilization of machines, materials, instruments, structures and processes. The company's engineering services will leverage CAD for product design and 3D modeling; CAE for structural/crash/thermal/fluid analysis; CAM to create tool paths, post processing and simulation; and PLM for managing the lifecycle of parts, assemblies and products.
