DALLAS Beck Technology received a Silver Vision Award from Construtech Magazine for its role as an innovator based on a project using its proprietary DProfilerTM software. The proposed Texas Army National project included a 243,000 square foot reserve center and vehicle maintenance facility in El Paso, Texas plagued with budget issues early on.
The Silver Vision Award honors companies in the fields of architecture, engineering and construction that have realized the advantages of applying innovative technologies to their everyday businesses as well as the technology enablers that have helped them achieve their goal.
DProfiler was the solution for Apex Cost Consulting, the project's cost consultant and fellow Construtech Magazine Silver Vision Award winner, as it turned to Beck Tech and its software after traditional methods of cost estimation were ineffective on the project. As the project neared being cancelled all together, the Beck Tech/Apex team used DProfiler to enable the project team to better understand how the costs were determined and where they could make changes to get the project back in budget.
"With Beck Technology's industry and technical expertise, we have saved many government projects from the brink of cancellation due to budget issues," said Claude Eudaric, president of Apex Cost Consultants. "This project for the Texas Army National Guard was a successful example."
