More than 1,000 delegates attended the 20th Delcam Korean User Meeting.
Delcam’s South Korean joint venture, Hankook Delcam, held the world’s largest CAM user meeting last week at the Hyundai Hotel in Gyeongju. More than 1,000 users attended the meeting, together with delegates from Delcam’s Asian Technical Summit, which was held in the same hotel earlier in the week.
Despite the international financial crisis, which has impacted on Korea’s manufacturing sector, Hankook Delcam President Chan Oong Jeong was determined to celebrate his country’s 20th user meeting in style. He also wanted to reinforce his company’s position as Korea’s largest CADCAM reseller with a suitably large event. Preparations began early in the year, to ensure that representatives from all of Hankook Delcam’s many hundreds of customers would be able to attend.
Presentations and demonstrations of the latest versions of Delcam’s range of software were presented during the meeting, covering every stage of product development, from the initial design through to inspection of the finished part.
The event also gave Mr. Jeong the opportunity to reinforce the strength of his organisation. The audience included many of Hankook Delcam’s 46 staff, of which 23 work in customer support. Similarly, guest speaker, Delcam Managing Director Clive Martell was able to point to his company’s world-leading number of CAM developers, global sales channel and firm financial position.
