CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va : Blue Ridge Numerics, Inc has announced that it will again offer the CFdesign Collegiate Competition Program for the 2010-2011 season. After a second successful program year, Blue Ridge Numerics will continue to provide a free license of CFdesign software to qualifying teams to help them optimize their designs and gain real-world engineering experience.
Japheth Learn, Lead Aerodynamics Engineer, Rochester Institute of Technology Formula SAE Racing Team explains “RIT continues to do very well in the Formula SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) competitions. By using CFdesign simulation software we are able to improve the design of key vehicle components giving our team a critical completive edge.” With hard work and CFdesign, this year’s Formula RIT team achieved an impressive fifth place out of over 100 competing universities.
As a part of the Collegiate Competition Program, Blue Ridge Numerics provides free commercial-grade CFdesign licenses and full access to technical support. Teams can also access the customer portal to download the latest version, currently CFdesign 2010, watch CFD-tv training videos and interact with engineering peers on the user forum.
