New Hire Brings Strong 3D Translation and Modeling Background to Key Position.
BERKELEY, CA - Tech Soft 3D, a provider of component technology to the engineering software industry, welcomes Phil Spreier as the new Translation Solutions Product Manager. Phil will drive the product direction of the popular 3D CAD translation and PDF publishing components, which will be repackaged and licensed in pure library form by mid-summer.
For over 17 years, Phil has been involved in the engineering, sales and management of 3D Modeling and Translation technology. Most recently, he built and strengthened strategic partnerships worldwide as Director of Channel Development for Spatial.
"Phil has the unique qualifications and perspective to maximize the impact of this technology," says Tech Soft 3D CEO, Ron Fritz. "Under his leadership, we're confident this powerful new offering in the Tech Soft 3D suite will continue to thrive and support superior data exchange throughout the industry."
The 3D CAD translation suite and PDF publishing SDK allow development teams to create applications that access data from over 25 popular 3D formats and publish rich 3D PDF files in the industry-standard PRC and U3D formats.
"We were very pleased to learn that Phil Spreier is joining the Tech Soft 3D team," said Scott Collins, SVP of Product Development at Anark. "Having worked with Phil extensively over the years, we are confident of his deep understanding of 3D CAD component technology, and the interoperability issues facing PLM software companies and their manufacturing customers."
Phil will be based in the Business Development office in Bend, Oregon, and work closely with the technology's original development team in Lyon, France.
