Delcam has announced the appointment of MC Tools as its new reseller for Central America. MC Tools is based in Costa Rica and also has offices in El Salvador and Guatemala. It will be selling and supporting the complete family of Delcam software, including the company’s systems for the healthcare and footwear industries as well as its extensive selection of programs for advanced manufacturing.
MC Tools currently supplies machine tools, including the Hyundai-KIA range of equipment, Korloy cutting tools and SPI (Swiss Precision Instruments) inspection equipment. The company originally started out as a machine tool maintenance business in 2003 and still continues to offer machine repair and refurbishment services. It had been looking for a CADCAM software partner for some time so that it can offer a complete solution to its growing number of customers.
"We are honoured to be chosen to represent Delcam’s software in Central America,” said Carlos Prendergast, Managing Director of MC Tools. "This gives us access to an unrivalled selection of software and ensures that we can provide the ideal program for each of our customers. We have clients in many different industries, including footwear, healthcare and toolmaking, as well as in general engineering. With the extensive Delcam portfolio, we can meet all of their different needs.”
"MC Tools has an outstanding reputation for providing the highest level of technical support to its customers,” commented Pedro Leon, Delcam’s Business Development Manager for Latin America. "They have already recruited an experienced Delcam user to provide local expertise for our existing customers. I am confident that this appointment will lead to increased sales in Central America.”
MC Tools has already started planning user meetings for Delcam’s 40 customers in its territory. These are scheduled to be held in El Salvador and Guatemala during July
