Following the launch of Shaderlight for 3ds Max in December 2009, rendering solutions provider ArtVPS are pleased to announce the latest release of their interactive render software. 3d artists and designers using Shaderlight for 3ds Max can now expect to render up to 50 percent faster thanks to optimisation of its core rendering technology.
The improved performance of this latest release will enable users to render much larger images as well as experience greater interactivity when making MELT changes. Partial scene retracing and reduced memory requirements significantly contribute to the performance improvements in this release.
Shaderlight is a physically based, progressive ray-tracer that enables interactive changes to be made to an image at any stage within the rendering process. Materials, environments, lighting and textures – the key MELT attributes – can be updated and the results seen in real time without any compromise on image quality or having to restart the render.
Commenting on the announcement, ArtVPS Marketing Director Kate Marshall said: “The team have really delivered with this latest release of our 3ds Max plug-in. Building on the success of the first release, users will see a noticeable difference with the improvements made. The ability to only partially re-trace elements of a scene affected by a change optimises Shaderlight’s interactive workflow further and will deliver significant productivity and creativity improvements for 3d artists.”
To make this latest release of Shaderlight accessible to even more 3ds Max users, ArtVPS are offering the software at a revised price of just $450.
Alongside the release of the 3ds Max plug-in, ArtVPS have recently launched a beta version of their latest rendering product, Shaderlight for SketchUp. Shaderlight’s simple tools and interactive workflow fit perfectly with the SketchUp philosophy and will enable anyone using SketchUp to create stunning visualisations quickly and simply.
Shaderlight for 3ds Max is available to download now from www.artvps.comfor $450. Users can also try the software FREE for 30 days.
