BURLINGTON - Z Corporation today announced that its ZPrinter line of 3D printers will enable users of Dassault Systemes SolidWorks(R) 2010 software to quickly and affordably create 3D physical prototypes from their CAD designs. Highlighting the frequent use of SolidWorks software and ZPrinters across the manufacturing industry, Z Corporation is a key sponsor of today's SolidWorks 2010 launch.
Designers and engineers will use ZPrinters and software to transform SolidWorks 2010 3D CAD files into physical models in house. With their unique ability to print in multiple colors simultaneously, ZPrinters can produce models with engineering labels, annotations, texture maps and full-color finite element analysis results.
ZPrinters are SolidWorks Solution Partner Products and the fastest, most affordable and most automated 3D printers for use with SolidWorks 2010. They save engineering organizations time and money and reduce errors by enabling users to quickly create physical prototypes from concept through product launch.
"Z Corporation 3D printers deliver the prototyping functionality engineers need," said SolidWorks Manager of Alliances Nick Iwaskow. "Together, ZPrinters and SolidWorks 2010 give engineers the innovative tools and productivity to streamline product development and design great products."
SolidWorks 2010 is focused on optimizing core design functions with deeper functionality so users can more quickly and intelligently achieve their goals. It also includes hundreds of new enhancements specifically requested by customers.
"We're excited about SolidWorks 2010 and its obvious ability to help designers and engineers work smarter and faster every day," said Kevin Lach, Z Corporation vice president of marketing. "Both forms of 3D visualization -- CAD and 3D printing -- dramatically enhance the speed and quality of product development and the communication around it."
