ESI expands its ISO 9001:2008 certifications worldwide with a focus on Asia

Paris, France – ESI Group announced today the ISO 9001:2008 certification of its two main subsidiaries in Asia: ESI ATE in China and Nihon ESI in Japan. These certifications recognize well-implemented Quality Management Systems (QMS) in the head offices (Beijing, China and Tokyo, Japan) as well as others (Guangzhou, China; Osaka and Aichi, Japan) providing software solutions, training, technical support, and related consultancy in the field of Simulation-Based Design.

ESI Group’s software development entity earned its first ISO 9001 certification in 2000 to meet customer expectations throughout an ever-growing network covering more than 30 countries. ESI’s goal, by promoting the process approach, is to bring about true customer satisfaction for the quality of products and services provided.

"The fundamental prerequisite for any business success is the focus on customers and the fulfillment of their requirements – especially in terms of quality”, said Dominique Grolade, Corporate Quality Manager at ESI Group. “The extension of our certification perimeter highlights ESI’s focus on customer requirements. This shared culture of quality is fundamental in continuing to satisfy requirements for our core customer base and for increasingly diverse domains and industries such as Energy, Powertrain, Electronics and Defense”.

2009 is proving to be a significant year with regards to quality standards, as ESI’s 3 candidacies for certification have all been confirmed, starting with Mecas ESI (Czech Republic) in January, followed now by ESI ATE and Nihon ESI. These three recent certifications confirm ESI’s commitment to meet the challenging, internationally recognized quality requirements for software development and engineering services. Indeed, Mecas ESI, ESI ATE and Nihon ESI’s QMS are a result of the teams’ hard work over the past several years towards one objective: develop and maintain a system fully matching quality standards to best support ESI customers with products of constant quality meeting their expectations.

The expansion of ESI’s ISO 9001:2008 certifications allows current and future customers to rely on an even more transparent and reliable global solution provider.

“The recent ISO certifications in Asia are important steps as ESI Group moves towards a global Quality Management System”, stated Dr. Christopher St John, CEO of the Asia Pacific territory, ESI Group. “ESI is on the path to a unified method of operations worldwide; assuring consistent practices and a high level of expertise at every level in our organization. Very importantly, these certifications are also pre-requisites for the services projects which we are now undertaking for the re-invigorated Nuclear Power industry in Asia”.
