ShipConstructor Software Inc. has signed an agreement with the trend-setting marine production design company, Genoa Design International Ltd., establishing Genoa as its Quality Assurance Partner for ShipConstructor’s CAD/CAM application.
Genoa will help ShipConstructor test new versions of its software and then be the first to adopt it for use on actual projects. This agreement is an example of ShipConstructor’s commitment to go beyond industry standards to enhance the stability and performance of the product prior to general release.
“We already have a six-part in-house quality program,” says ShipConstructor’s Development Manager, Denis Morais. “Now we are building on that foundation by partnering with a well-respected company to provide us with more feedback to further enhance the software’s quality.”
ShipConstructor selected longtime customer, Genoa Design, to be its Quality Assurance Partner because Genoa has implemented innovative processes dedicated to measuring and quantifying improvement.
Morais notes that, “Genoa has been a pioneer in the use of ‘Lean’ principles within the industry and has demonstrated an ongoing commitment to the highest standards of business practices.”
Genoa’s President, Leonard Pecore says, “We have been a ShipConstructor ‘Super User’ for years. We require the most reliable, flexible, state-of-the-art software to help ensure that we exceed our client’s expectations. We like to push the software to the limits so becoming ShipConstructor’s Quality Assurance Partner is a natural evolution for us.”
