Visitors to the Delcam stand at MACH, 4010 in Hall 4, will have the chance to win an England shirt signed by PFA Player of the Year Wayne Rooney. To enter the competition, they will need to watch a short demo of Delcam’s machining software and answer some questions to test their CAM knowledge. At the same time, they will be able to discover how Delcam can help their companies to achieve their goals, kick off new opportunities, avoid penalties for late delivery and score highly with their customers. Visitors can also join Delcam’s celebrations as the company continues another winning season.

Delcam’s most important recent result was the announcement that the company has completed a decade as the world’s leading CAM specialist during 2009. The latest NC Software and Related Services Market report from leading analysts CIMdata shows that, last year, Delcam again had the highest vendor revenues of all the CAM-centric companies. The company first achieved its global leadership in 2000, when it overtook Japanese developer Hitachi Zosen, and has kept its position at the top of the CAM league ever since.

The CIMdata report also confirmed that Delcam has the largest development team in the industry, with 165 people working on the company’s CAM software. Only two other companies employ more than 100 CAM developers; Siemens PLM with 121 and Dassault with 110. Furthermore, Delcam was reported to have shipped more industrial seats of CAM software than any other supplier during 2009.

The breadth of the current Delcam range should enable the company to continue its growth. The Queen’s Awards are the UK’s most coveted commercial awards, with only a small percentage of those who enter each year measuring up to the demanding standards required to win an Award.

This latest recognition for the company follows the receipt of Queen’s Awards in the Innovation category for the ArtCAM artistic CADCAM software in 2003 and for the PowerINSPECT inspection program in 2004. It provides further evidence that Delcam has not only the largest development team in the CAM industry but also one of the most successful in developing innovative technology.
