STRIKER CAD/CAM Software Achieves Autodesk Inventor 2010 Certification

WHITE HOUSE, Tennessee – Striker Systems has announced that STRIKER 2010, its sheet metal CAD/CAM and nesting software, has achieved certification for Autodesk Inventor 2010.

Autodesk Inventor integration is achieved through Striker’s PARTshare module, an Inventor add-in that allows Autodesk Inventor to seamlessly share sheet metal parts with STRIKER CAD/CAM through a unique networked library system. Parts placed into the PARTshare library include the necessary manufacturing data from the Inventor model, including material properties, revision information, and even routing details. As soon as the parts are placed into the PARTshare library they are available for single part and nest processing on CNC punching and cutting machines.

“We’re pleased to once again receive Autodesk Inventor certification as this highlights our commitment to providing an integrated CAD/CAM solution for sheet metal fabricators using Autodesk Inventor,” said Michael Boggs, Striker Systems Vice President of Sales. “We’re also very excited about the newest PARTshare innovations that help the Inventor designer make more informed decisions as parts are released to manufacturing.”

In the latest version of PARTshare, assembly parts can be analyzed for common design problems prior to manufacturing release. These include missing or incorrect material properties, unmapped materials, and missing sheet metal styles. Problem parts are highlighted in the assembly list allowing them to be corrected before continuing with the release process. This streamlines the manufacturing release process and exposes persistent design issues requiring further scrutiny.
