Already 80% of Top Integrated Circuit Design Companies Improve Design Efficiency and Time to Market with ENOVIA Synchronicity
LOWELL, Mass - Dassault Systèmes (DS) (Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA), a world leader in 3D and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, today announced that 17 of the top 20 semiconductor companies, as defined in a recent IC Insights, Inc. report use ENOVIA Synchronicity DesignSync and PLM solutions to help speed time-to-market, control costs and better re-use their existing intellectual property (IP).
With tens of thousands of seats deployed at approximately 100 customers in 2008, an increasing number of semiconductor companies have selected ENOVIA Synchronicity DesignSync solutions to improve their design collaboration and establish a standardized design management process.
“Semiconductor companies are under unprecedented pressure to quickly bring innovative products with longer market sustainability lifetime to market and to do so while keeping costs down,” said Rick Stanton, director, Global Semiconductor Strategy & Solutions, ENOVIA R&D, Dassault Systèmes. “These contradictory needs can lead to missed delivery dates and cost overruns that can doom a project. With the ENOVIA Synchronicity DesignSync solution, organizations can address most of these problems at the same time while also driving greater system-on-chip efficiencies between hardware and software.”
The ENOVIA Synchronicity DesignSync Data Manager solution, which is part of the V6 platform, enables semiconductor companies to establish a comprehensive source of design and development data across the organization, streamlining the way business is done and leading to fewer mistakes and a quicker time-to-market. In addition, by implementing these technologies, companies are able to better handle the growing product complexity demanded by customers, easily manage a globally dispersed workforce that needs real-time data updates and have the processes in place to manage an expanding global supply chain.
