WAKEFIELD, R.I. - Boothroyd Dewhurst, Inc., announced today that author and editor Richard McCormack will give the first presentation at the twenty-fourth annual International Forum on Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA®), on June 9-10, 2009. The Forum, titled “Reviving Manufacturing through Better Design,” will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Providence-Warwick, R.I., USA.
McCormack, who has addressed trade issues and national manufacturing policy before the U.S. Congress, will deliver his Forum presentation, “From Policy to Technology: The State of U.S Manufacturing Today,” on Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m. He will also take part in a four-person panel discussion on Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., titled “Reviving U.S. Manufacturing: How to Make It Happen.” DFMA Forum speakers and audience are comprised of leading U.S. manufacturers and software development firms, along with members of the Rhode Island business and educational community.
