MTS Systems Corporation (NASDAQ: MTSC) today announced the election of David J. Anderson to its Board of Directors, effective May 21, 2009. Mr. Anderson is the recently retired President and Chief Executive Officer of Sauer-Danfoss Inc., a leading manufacturer of hydraulic and electronic components and systems. He is currently transitioning out of this role as the Co-Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. He is also on the Board of Directors of Schnitzer Steel Industries.

In addition, the Company also announced the resignation of Joseph M. O’Donnell from the Board of Directors, effective May 17, 2009.
