Bricsys and Germany-based craniMAX announce that the craniMAX software portfolio has been successfully ported to Bricscad V9.
The Cranimation software uses Bricscad V9 to show immediately outrigger loads and ground pressure through duty charts. The calculation and capacity checks are done in real-time.
Cranimation allows designers to move digital models of cranes within their degrees- of-freedom. Cranes can be erected, assembled, and disassembled in 3D, using the dimensions and specifications provided by crane manufacturers.
With Bricscad V9, the software enables a realistic representation of resource scheduling and provides collision detection. This ensures that tower cranes do not collide with any obstacles, even as changes occur on the work site.
Michael Koelsch, founder and CEO of craniMAX, explains: "craniMAX is a worldwide player within a very specialized vertical market. Thanks to our direct relationship with all major crane manufacturers, we have the most complete software suite in the field. With Bricscad V9 as our new graphical engine, we can deliver unmatched simulation capabilities in areas where planning of this kind is crucial and mission-critical.”
“Traditionally, we have has large contractors as clients. craniMAX is a new application that adds real value to Bricscad V9,” continues Erik De Keyser, CEO of Bricsys. “This software offers unique features to allow professionals to plan the locations of cranes on building sites in 3D, as well as to simulate all crane movements and to determine the limits of movement relative to the building.”
The craniMAX software suite will be distributed and supported by Bricsys on four continents.
