Cimatron Limited (NASDAQ and TASE: CIMT) announced today that it will demonstrate the latest Die Design enhancements to CimatronE at Blechexpo 2011 in Germany (Hall 8, Booth 8108).
The Blechexpo tradeshow focuses on the European sheet metal industry, and provides a platform to showcase the latest technology in the field.
Cimatron offers a complete 3D software solution for die making that allows die makers to reduce trial and error, and shorten delivery times. CimatronE's die solution covers the process from quoting through design and up to machining and wire EDM.
The latest version of CimatronE, which will be previewed at the show, includes built in motion simulation. This will allow CimatronE die designers to test the efficacy of their tool design, isolating collisions and other problems at an early stage. Identifying errors before any machining or tryouts take place is one of the ways in which CimatronE's 3D solution shortens delivery times and reduces costs.
New enhancements to the Die Design solution offer a far more flexible strip design process. Among the enhancements that simplify the process is the new "insert forming shape" feature, which allows users to insert additional forming shapes at any point during design, while maintaining complete associativity.
There are also enhancements in die tool design, with faster, more automated trimming punch creation. CimatronE's trimming punch feature, which allows users to design trimming punches in one click, can now create multiple trimming punches in the same operation. Additionally, the system now supports split matrixes (used to simplify the manufacturing process) and several new types of fasteners.
"We are excited to be attending Blechexpo 2011, and to demonstrate the newest version of CimatronE here," said Dirk Dombert, General Manager of Cimatron GmbH. "At the exhibition we will show customers how CimatronE's integrated die making solution has shortened delivery times for a large number of global and local tool makers by providing automated tools, analysis capabilities and streamlining the process using a single CAD/CAM software." Blechexpo started on June 6 and will continue through June 9 in Stuttgart, Germany.
