Engineering services provider chooses HyperWorks as standard CAE platform to support process oriented development efforts.
Troy, Mich – Altair Engineering Inc announced today that Sogeti High Tech GmbH, Germany, a renowned engineering service and consulting provider for the aerospace, automotive, energy, defence, and transport sectors, has massively increased its use of HyperWorks and made the suite its standard computer-aided engineering (CAE) platform.
Sogeti High Tech GmbH is using HyperMesh and HyperView, the pre- and post-processing solutions of the HyperWorks suite, OptiStruct for optimization tasks and for the design and optimization of composite components, and partner products included in the HyperWorks Partner Alliance program for fatigue and process simulation. HyperMesh replaces Sogeti High Tech GmbH’s existing solution for model meshing as it offers improved usability and more functionality at the same time. All tools are applied to projects in the aerospace, rail and defence industries and for the internal test and research of new materials.
“We were seeking a one tool solution to enable process oriented work, which is exactly what HyperWorks offered,” said Carlos Ribeiro, business group manager, Analytical Numerical Simulation, Sogeti High Tech GmbH. “We started off with HyperMesh, which I consider one of the best meshing and pre-processing environments available on the market because it is fast, efficient, and offers an open platform that supports our development processes. Additionally, the other products, which we can access via the HyperWorks Partner Alliance, help us in our everyday work.”
“I am very pleased to see Sogeti High Tech GmbH select HyperWorks as its standard CAE platform,” said Dr. Detlef Schneider, managing director of Altair Engineering GmbH. “HyperWorks and the HyperWorks Partner Alliance meet the needs of engineering service providers by offering them the flexibility and efficiency their competitive market requires. Our customers recognize the benefits of our open architecture philosophy and our commitment to supply an excellent return on investment across all our products and services. We provide this flexibility and efficiency through the unique HyperWorks licensing system, which diversifies our offerings from our competitors.”
“In our business it is crucial to use the software environments our customers require us to use,” added Francis Gilly, Business unit manager “Technology”, Sogeti High Tech GmbH. “HyperWorks offers an open platform which can be used with any solver our customers require. It also gives us access to a broad range of best-in-class CAE tools, with just one license without additional costs. This helps us to be as flexible and efficient in our consultancy work as our customers expect us to be, while consolidating our software investments. This provides us with an important competitive advantage.”
