COADE Sponsoring SPAR 2009 March 30 – April 1 in Denver

Featuring CADWorx fieldPipe and CADWorx fieldPipe for CloudWorx SPAR 2009

HOUSTON - COADE announced today that the plant design and engineering analysis software company is again sponsoring SPAR 2009, the 6th Annual Conference on 3D laser scanning, mobile survey, light detection and ranging (LIDAR), dimensional control, BIM/CAD/GIS integration and asset management, scheduled for March 30 – April 1 at the Hyatt Regency Denver in Denver, Colorado.

In booth #24, COADE will be featuring CADWorx fieldPipe for Leica fieldPro and CADWorx fieldPipe for CloudWorx. CADWorx fieldPipe integrates CADWorx Plant Professional from COADE with fieldPipe for Leica fieldPro to produce AutoCAD-based, laser-precise 3D models, site designs, spool drawings and design verification from any field site. CADWorx fieldPipe for CloudWorx is a tool that quickly and easily builds an intelligent, specification-driven model using point cloud data from laser scan information, working in conjunction with Leica CloudWorx by reading point cloud scans and bringing them into the CADWorx fieldPipe model. At SPAR 2009, COADE will also feature Leica Geosystems’ popular CloudWorx Basic software, a product for which COADE recently became a reseller. CloudWorx, in conjunction with COADE CADWorx fieldPipe for CloudWorx, allows users to work efficiently and directly with rich, as-built laser scan data to produce intelligent plant models.

During the SPAR 2009 conference, COADE client IMAGE CES will be presenting a talk on how the engineering firm’s IMAGE Field Services division used CADWorx fieldPipe to complete, in record time, the as-built computer modeling of gas compression stations owned by CenterPoint Energy Field Services. The first phase, involving over 70 of approximately 200 stations, took just six months, a project that would have taken them probably years to do manually, according to Don Nuckels, PE, president of IMAGE CES. This IMAGE Field Services project was recently featured in World Pipelines magazine.

Participants and attendees at SPAR 2009 will include project managers, engineers, construction managers, survey heads and others involved in surveying, civil infrastructure, process manufacturing, fossil and nuclear power, transportation, offshore construction, automotive, aerospace, mining, LIDAR, shipbuilding and other industries. SPAR 2009 is organized and managed by Spar Point Research, LLC. For information on SPAR 2009, visit http://sparllc.com/spar2009.php.
