Rapid Sheet Metal, Inc., specializing in rapid turnaround of prototype sheet metal fabrications and prototype stampings, announced today that they have received their official International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) registration from the US Department of State, Bureau of Political-Military Affairs. This registration documents Rapid Sheet Metal's dedication to adhering to the regulations that control the export and import of defense-related articles and services.
ITAR regulations were designed to control the information and materials of military related technologies and ensure that military technologies are only shared with US persons unless approval from the Department of State is received via a special exemption. The registration of a company to comply with ITAR regulations allows them to work in conjunction with the US military and expresses the company's obligation to handle ITAR protected products according to all regulations. “Military, defense and government markets are a significant segment of Rapid Sheet Metal's business.
As one of the few ITAR registered sheet metal fabricators, we are proud to offer our quick turn sheet metal prototype service to companies developing the technologies that support our troops. Like our commercial customers, they will be able to receive sheet metal prototypes in one to two weeks and quotes in 24 hours” said James Jacobs, President.
