Phoenix, AZ: The Open Design Alliance (ODA) today announced the production release of DWGdirect™ version 3.2, which includes support for the DWG 2010 file format.
In addition to reading, writing, and editing DWG 2010 files, version 3.2 of the ODA platform includes overruling and subdivision mesh surfaces, support for ADT 2010 objects, and advancements in the technology accessed by.NET and ActiveX developers.
After the Beta release of DWG 2010 support in September of this year, DWGdirect, with its new DWG 2010 file support, underwent an in-depth progression of additional verification and enhancement. The release of DWGdirect version 3.2 marks an 8-month development cycle after the release Autodesk® AutoCAD® 2010 earlier this year.
Neil Peterson, Chief Technical Officer of the ODA, stated, “Our timely release of DWG 2010 file support, which undoubtedly is critical for the ongoing success of our members, emphasizes the commitment we made several years ago to provide ongoing support of new DWG file format versions. As part of this commitment, our newly expanded quality assurance team has greatly increased our testing efforts across all platforms during the past year, making DWGdirect 3.2 the most heavily tested version the ODA has ever released. We expect that this production release will be adopted immediately by our members.”
DWGdirect is available immediately at www.opendesign.com for download by ODA members world-wide.
