VAN BUREN TWP., Mich - Ricardo, Inc., a leading independent provider of technology, product innovation and engineering solutions to the world's automotive, military, transport and new energy industries, has announced that the Ricardo Software North American User Conference (NAUC) is to be held on June 9 at the Inn at St. John's Conference Center, Plymouth, Michigan.
The Ricardo Software NAUC has since its first presentation in 1995, become a highly successful conference series serving as a platform for computer aided engineering (CAE) professionals, Ricardo Software users and software developers to give presentations and exchange news and views about the development and application of advanced CAE software. Keynote presentations for this year's NAUC will be provided by Dr. David Cole, chairman of the Center for Automotive Research (CAR) and non-executive director of Ricardo, Inc., and Dr. Michael Wahl, VP of engine systems analysis at Achates Power Inc.
Detailed technical presentations will also be provided by Ricardo Software customers including Ford Motor Company and MAHLE Industries. Topics covered will include the latest thinking in aspects of powertrain CAE such as cam profile optimization, improving piston scuffing resistance, valvetrain simulation, acoustic analysis of turbocharged engines, and development of an advanced analytical process for engine sound quality optimization. In addition to the technical paper presentations, product demonstrations and a software workshop will provide delegates with the opportunity to view and discuss with members of the development team some of the latest research and innovations in powertrain CAE.
The 2009 Ricardo Software North American Users Conference, sponsored by Microsoft, is a free event open to both existing licensees of Ricardo Software products as well as potential customers. Places are limited however and early delegate registration is advised.
