CMS IntelliCAD Provides Easy to Use Document Management Based on M-Files

PLANO, TX - Motive Systems, the developer of M-Files document management software, and CAD Manufacturing Services, the developers of CMS IntelliCAD CAD software, today announced the availability of CMS Vault by M-Files, a powerful document management solution that is now included with CMS IntelliCAD.

CMS Vault by M-Files is based on the popular M-Files document management software and provides the ability to organize and manage CAD drawings created with CMS IntelliCAD, as well as all other office and business documents. CMS Vault features include fast search, secure user access permissions, check-in / check-out and version management.

CMS IntelliCAD is designed to provide unrivaled compatibility with AutoCAD, offering a full suite of 2D and 3D AutoCAD compatible drawing tools, as well as being fully programmable with hundreds of third-party solutions.

CMS Vault by M-Files takes advantage of M-Files' low-level integration with Windows making it the only document management solution to provide a seamless Windows Explorer interface that supports any Windows application without the need for special plug-ins. As a result, CMS Vault offers unprecedented ease of use by enabling users to continue working the way they always have, opening and saving files directly from any Windows application. In addition, CMS Vault employs the unique M-Files' "virtual local" drive that provides significant performance advantages over purely Web-based alternatives, or systems that use traditional mapped network drives, by allowing users to work from their local hard drive while a unique caching mechanism synchronizes with the server in the background.
