Wright Line, a manufacturer of advanced solutions for technology-intensive environments, today unveiled a new Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Modeling Service, providing a comprehensive approach to modeling the airflow, temperature, static pressure and energy profile of dynamic, critical environments.
Wright Line’s new CFD service compares and substantiates which design decisions will maximize a customer’s data center flexibility, scalability and resilience. It enables customers to explore their best options for IT and facility growth, create a calculated plan and avoid major capital commitments and costly design/implementation mistakes.
The Wright Line CFD Service uses Future Facilities’ 6SigmaDC software to construct a virtual representation of a customer’s data center. It models the impact of load distribution within the facility, as well as the flow of hot and cold air within the space. It also illustrates how to increase rack densities and server installations without creating additional hot spots and airflow issues. Providing fact-based decisions aimed at improving operational efficiency and reliability, the CFD modeling analysis is essential for fine-tuning a customer facility.
“The CFD modeling service offers a detailed, executive overview of potential energy and air flow dynamics within the data center,” said Carl Cottuli, Vice President of Product Development and Services for Wright Line. “With the help of our innovative service, Wright Line’s CFD team, bringing extensive and certified cross-disciplinary experience in critical live settings to every assignment, is committed to providing each of our customers with the best data center lifecycle improvement plan possible.”
Pricing for Wright Line’s CFD Services is available on an order-by-order basis. A pre-quote consultation and/or walk-through by a Wright Line CFD Team member is advised to determine the scope and level of CFD service required.
Wright Line, a global leader in the design and manufacture of environmentally-friendly/green airflow management systems and ergonomic consoles, enclosures, office and technical furniture for technology-intensive environments, has been serving the data center, office, call center, analytical and electronic laboratory and high-tech manufacturing environments for 75 years.
