Mumbai : Geometric Limited (BSE: 532312, NSE: GEOMETRIC), a leader in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions and technologies, announced that Mr. Ajay Mehra has been appointed as a director on the Board effective April 27, 2009, during the board meeting held today. Mr. Mehra is a partner with BMR Advisors and has over 16 years of experience in taxation and regulatory compliance.
Announcing the appointment, Mr. J. N. Godrej, Chairman of the Board said, "We are very pleased to have Mr. Ajay Mehra join the board of directors at Geometric. I'm sure his excellent knowledge and experience of working with multinational and domestic companies primarily in the manufacturing and services sector will be of great benefit to Geometric in the coming years."
Mr. Mehra has extensively worked as an advisor across industries in the areas of VAT and Service tax, as well as other aspects of Indirect and Direct Tax. He has been with BMR since 2004, prior to which, he was a Partner with a Big 4 accounting firm.
Mr. Mehra said, "I am looking forward to being on the Board of Geometric, and helping guide the company's operations into the next decade."
