Aras Vault Replication Establishes a New Level of Fault Tolerance, System Configurability and End User Simplicity in PLM Industry.
Solothurn, Switzerland – - Aras has announced the availability of enhanced vault replication capabilities for Aras Innovator®, the advanced PLM software suite. Aras’s new vault replication features build on the company’s existing replication functionality, to provide unmatched fault tolerance, system configurability and end user simplicity.
Aras’s vault replication approach simplifies the user experience and ensures that users are always working with the most current version of a file. With Aras end users have a single, unified view of files, even in complex multi-vault, globally distributed environments. Aras avoids the replication issues faced by other major PLM systems by assigning a unique identifier to every version of a file. The Aras approach to vault replication achieves the highest level of data integrity possible and eliminates synchronization problems while providing a simple experience for end users.
One of the most powerful benefits of Aras’s new vault replication enhancements is the ability to completely configure replication rules without any scripting or programming. System administrators can quickly and easily define automated replication processes, express complex business rules and create replication events with no coding required. Configurable vault replication rules allow the definition of different replication modes for unlimited vaults, file types, file ownership or any other user-defined business requirement. Replication events can be set up to operate on-demand, upon file change, or on a periodic schedule when WAN traffic is minimized.
“From day one, the Aras architecture was designed to support globally distributed deployments with replication, and with these enhancements we are establishing a new level of performance and configurability for complex enterprise PLM environments,” said Peter Schroer, President of Aras. “Aras has made it easier for administrators to define and manage PLM vault replication all over the world, while giving them more flexibility and control than ever before.”
