Seoul - INUS Technology, Inc has announced that DPS Software, one of Europe's leading CAD/CAM software resellers, has signed a sales agreement to sell Rapidform. DPS has seen the rising demand for reverse engineering and inspection from 3D scan data and now offers Rapidform's entire product line to buyers in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
DPS Software selected Rapidform because of its deep integration with SolidWorks, DPS' primary software product. For reverse engineering applications, Rapidform XOR offers the fastest way to build a true engineered model from a real world object. XOR is the only software that lets users create engineering-quality solid models and open them in SolidWorks as native, history-based CAD models. For inspection, Rapidform offers two great tools to compare nominal information to scanned objects: Rapidform XOV and InspectWorks. Rapidform XOV is an easy to use, powerful and complete standalone inspection software. InspectWorks is a SolidWorks Add-in that takes the core components of XOV and embeds them inside SolidWorks for easy scanning and comparison to CAD designs.
"With Rapidform products, we are able to offer our customers the leading reverse engineering and inspection solutions for 3D scanning. Our customers are savvy, educated CAD users, so they know the value of Rapidform's unique approach to making CAD models from scan data," remarked Manfred Gravius, Managing Director of DPS Software. "They know that the only way to make a useful engineered model is to create features from the scanned geometry. So called shape capture does not give them what they need."
Mr. Gravius also spoke about InspectWorks: "Rapidform XOV is really a superb inspection tool with impressive capabilities, and our customers love the fact that INUS has embedded some of these capabilities into SolidWorks via the InspectWorks Add-in." Simon Bae, CEO of INUS Technology, said that "we're very pleased to have DPS Software as our partner. Our products are a great complement to SolidWorks, and customers in Germany, Switzerland and Austria can now buy these products together and receive top-notch support on both."
