Cyon Research announces COFES Israel Forum

Bethesda, MD – Cyon Research Corporation announced that its first COFES Israel Forum will be held December 16, 2010 in Tel Aviv, Israel, at the Hilton Tel Aviv.

COFES events focus on software tools for engineering, manufacturing, construction, and industry. The COFES Israel Forum sets its sights on innovation and sustainable design within that context. The event will bring together the community of engineering software vendors, developers, resellers, analysts, and users for private and public discussion in a relaxed and informal—but intense—atmosphere.

Israel is host to more startups than any other region except perhaps for Silicon Valley. Like other small nations poor in natural resources--Singapore and Hong Kong come to mind--Israel has come to excel in technological innovation. Israel is considered by many industry experts to be a world leader in computer security, and a major player in a wide variety of software and electronics arenas.

COFES is coming to Israel in December, 2010. The resonance between Israel's spirit of innovation and the COFES view of the future of engineering software is profound; the one-day forum is certain to be scintillating.

COFES has historically focused on creating an environment where the strength of our community takes precedence over our individual needs to sell, and where c-level executives can openly discuss the important issues facing business today. COFES Israel Forum will bring together senior executives from software firms with their peers in manufacturing, construction, and design to discuss sustainability and innovation at the design stage.

“SolidWorks is pleased to be a part of the inaugural COFES Israel event,” said Jeff Ray, CEO of DS SolidWorks Corp. “This forum will bring the same energy to the Israel high-growth engineering community as it does in the US event. This will be a great opportunity for the participants to find exciting new ways to collaborate and innovate on the future of engineering design technology.”

According to Brian Shepherd, PTC’s Executive Vice President of Product Development, "PTC has been a long time participant in the COFES events and finds them a stimulating source of new product ideas and partnership opportunities. Israel has a history of innovation in engineering software and is home to one of PTC's most important R&D centers. The COFES Forum in Israel is a great idea and we look forward to participating.”

Cyon Research welcomes all top managers and experts from leading providers in the fields of BIM/CAD/CAE/DP/PLM, top managers from manufacturing, construction and industrial organizations, in addition to analysts, media, and representatives from academia and government.

The COFES Israel Forum is an invitation-only event. For more information on the forum, and how to obtain an invitation, please visit http://apply.cofes.com .

Cyon Research has been bringing the unique vision of COFES to a select group of international venues where the event can trigger a leap forward for the industry. This COFES Israel Forum follows in the footsteps of the annual COFES events, held since 1999 in Scottsdale, Arizona; the 2006 COFES India Summit; and the September 2010 COFES Russia Seminar.
