8,000 students trained on Pro/ENGINEER in 2008.
Bangalore - CADD Centre, the largest CAD, CAE, Graphics and Project Management training Institution in Asia Pacific, today announced the launch of three new advanced CAD training programmes on PTC’s Pro/ENGINEER® 3D CAD software. PTC (NASDAQ: PMTC) Pro/ENGINEER® is the industry’s leading integrated parametric 3D modeling software used by design engineering professionals worldwide.
CADD Centre has over 1000 licenses of Pro/ENGINEER and will be training students on new skills like Advanced Assembly, Sheet Metal, Tool Design, Mechanism Design and Finite Element Analysis using Pro/ENGINEER. CADD Centre will provide the students with the skill to create innovative products with faster time-to-market. Quality of the training will result in safer products designed for the consumer with a reduction in costs. These Pro/ENGINEER skills will be immediately transferable to the professional world.
CADD Centre will provide the students with trained faculty, Industry specific curriculum, reference books and certificate upon the completion of the module. The new training modules will enable students to experience and analyze real world design conditions and provide them with a skill set that will differentiate them in the globally competitive design engineering market.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. S. Karaiadiselvan, Director, CADD Centre said, “Every two minutes there is a Pro/ENGINEER trained engineer walking out of our CADD Centre somewhere in the world; last year alone we have trained over 8,000 students on Pro/ENGINEER. We have recognized the need for students to grow their skill sets and have therefore introduced training modules on Advanced skill areas of the leading 3D CAD software Pro/ENGINEER. We are confident of crossing 12,000 during the current year and with new programmes we will be achieving 20,000 engineers training in the next year. We are confident that we will grow the numbers without fail”.
“India is fast emerging as the manufacturing base of the world and there is a compelling need to train students to cater to the large requirements that will arise in the near future. Manufacturers will want engineers to design innovative products while cutting cost and time to market and still maintain the high quality. The new Pro/ENGINEER programmes launched today by CADD Centre will provide the students with the skill set to do precisely that. By leveraging the best in class 3D CAD software by PTC and Asia’s best training facility by CADD Centre students can look forward to a comprehensive CAD programme that will empower them with globally competitive design engineering skills” said Mr. Rafiq Somani, Country Manager, PTC India.
