Seoul - INUS Technology, Inc has announced that Imetric 3D GmbH of Switzerland has begun offering Rapidform software with its line of 3D scanners. Imetric makes structured white-light scanners that generate accurate 3D models of real world objects. Rapidform software processes the data created by these scanners to create CAD models and quality inspection reports. Together, these products allow companies to speed product development, control quality and leverage existing intellectual property that they don't have 3D CAD models for.
"We've seen an increase in demand for reverse engineering and quality inspection using 3D scanners. We've also seen that Rapidform does an excellent job in both those areas, so we're pleased to offer it along with our scanning systems," remarked Damien Fleury, Business Development Manager at Imetric. He went on to say that " It's really a winning combination. Our customers are already seeing the benefits of Imetric scanners coupled with the data processing capabilities of Rapidform. "
Imetric sees the same value that thousands of users of Rapidform experience everyday: that Rapidform is the fastest, easiest way to get from raw 3D scan data to truly useful results - whether those are parametric CAD solids, accurate NURBS surfaces, or insightful inspection reports. "We lead the industry in making 3D scanners more useful and powerful. Others have tried to copy our pioneering approach to reverse engineering, but the result is nothing like what Rapidform XOR delivers," said Calvin Hur, Senior Vice President of Global Sales for INUS Technology. Dr. Hur concluded " That's why more and more partners are now offering Rapidform to their customers. We are very pleased to work with a great company like Imetric. "
