Transoft Solutions launches AeroTURN Pro 3.0 Airside Facilities and Gate Design Software

A more powerful, yet user-friendly, AeroTURN Pro 3.0 offers greater gate and airside facility design capabilities - webcasts set for November 10 & 17, 2009.

Transoft Solutions announces the launch of AeroTURN Pro 3.0. This new version of Transoft Solutions’ powerful yet user-friendly airside facilities design software offers airport designers, and planners, greater gate design capabilities and larger, expandable, libraries than were available in the previous versions. Free, public webcast demonstrations of AeroTURN Pro 3.0 are scheduled for November 10th and 17th, 2009.

Compatible with 32 and 64 bit versions of AutoCAD 2010, MicroStation V8i, Windows Vista, and Windows 7, AeroTURN Pro 3.0 was built on feedback provided by users of the previous versions of the software in addition to extensive research. AeroTURN Pro 3.0’s powerful features, usability, and ability to provide greater reference data are the result of an elevated level of collaborative development.

“AeroTURN Pro 3.0 gives designers greater control than previous versions or other software currently available,” said Product Manager, Michael Frost. “We’ve worked with aircraft and passenger boarding bridge manufacturers all over the world to make sure that designers can get more of the calculations that they need out of this software.”

Among the significant functionality improvements in AeroTURN Pro 3.0 is the Gate Setup tool, which includes a redesigned, easier to use, Gate Setup dialog. With this function, AeroTURN Pro 3.0 can now perform more complicated gate design functions within one gate, such as placing docking multiple passenger boarding bridge (PBB) arrangements instead of creating multiple gate setups for the same space to a single aircraft or designing multi-use stands. Having this functionality will be a significant benefit to designers who want to design a flexible stand position that can accommodate wide and narrow body aircraft docking with single or multiple PBBs on separate lead-in lines. It will also help airlines who want to design for shortened turnaround times, create gates that can service the A380-800’s, 787’s, and or accommodate any future multi-deck aircraft.

Complementing the new and improved functions are the addition of more ground service vehicles and PBBs to the airside database. The expanded PBB library includes ThyssenKrupp’s Crystal Wall boarding bridge series and pin position data support from the respective manufacturers. The database improvements also include powerful design filters to show only compatible aircraft and PBB that will work with the current docking scenario being designed. Additionally, an Install Aircraft function has also been included to give users the ability to download and add aircraft to their existing libraries. A major aircraft library expansion containing helicopters and new commuter, cargo, and military aircraft will be released soon after the launch of AeroTURN Pro 3.0.
