Dassault Systèmes reveals sustainable innovation vision at it's 3rd India Executive PLM Summit

Mumbai - Dassault Systèmes today revealed, at India’s third Executive PLM Summit in Mumbai, its vision about sustainable innovation, explaining how companies can innovate and come out of the economic downturn as winners by leveraging communities for collaboration and global knowledge sharing.

As economies around the world are showing early signs of recovery, the focus is moving fast towards sustainable innovation. After going through challenging times, it has become imperative that innovation must transcend all dimensions, including product, process and organization to improve overall business performance and ensure sustainability. Companies that demonstrate continuous innovation consistently deliver "right-to-market" products and services.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Bernard Charlès, president and CEO of Dassault Systèmes said, “As companies struggle to do more with less, the emerging concept and competency of ‘Sustainable Innovation’ is becoming a source of breakthrough thinking and a means for real differentiation. By equating sustainability with innovation, enterprises have begun to lay the groundwork that will put them in the lead. In today’s fast moving global environment it is no longer enough to be technologically up-to-date. In order to build the educational infrastructure for sustainable innovation, Dassault Systèmes has started partnerships with various state governments, educational institutions and companies across the country to train future PLM and 3D professionals. Dassault Systèmes has recently tied up with KIIT Group of Institutions, Bhubaneshwar to start a two-year MBA programme in Technology Management. In addition the company is also supporting JBM Group’s education initiative, “CADMIND” to foster talents in high-end design engineering.

India being a strategic market for Dassault Systèmes, the company’s technology is already present in a growing number of local industries, ranging from apparel, aerospace, automobile, and shipbuilding, to energy and business service.
