Adriane Stewart Joins Tukatech as Vice President

Los Angeles, CA: Tukatech has announced the appointment of Adriane Stewart as Vice President. Ms.Stewart is a cum laude graduate of Harvard University and has a law degree (JD), a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia University and a passion for fashion and technology.

She brings with her a deep understanding of the digital technologies that are transforming the apparel industry. She is a business strategist, a successful retail entrepreneur and a clothing design business developer with 15 years of experience innovating within the fashion industry.

From 1995 to 2005, Ms. Stewart founded and grew the only digitally-based wedding apparel business in the country – Anakha New York. Developing an expertise in virtual made-to-measure fit processes for bridesmaids and special occasion dresses, she constructed digital 2D first samples for a library of over 300 original special occasion dresses. She did this using the original Tukatech-based tool set.

In 1999, her company expanded into four retail locations throughout the country and became the first wedding retailer/ manufacturer to accept Internet dress orders based on a set of specific body measurements. Customers’ measurements were captured online and dropped into a digital patternmaking software system, where each garment was developed, cut and sewn specifically to customer specifications.
In 2002, she built several Brazilian apparel factories to specifically service the CAD-driven, 3D rendering, “virtual fit” aspect of the company, where she copyrighted a 32 point body measurement, computerized patternmaking system that digitally customized the fit of each of the dresses produced.

In 2005, Ms. Stewart shifted her focus to the celebrity-branded apparel movement, designing, manufacturing and procuring sponsorships for Seventh on Sixth runway shows. One of her most remarkable projects was for celebrity actress Lisa Raye and plus-size celebrity model Toccarra, creating a line of plus-size lingerie called Luxe and Romance. Her project procured major fashion week sponsors such as the Seasonale Birth Control Pill, Red Bull America and an exclusive Vodka from Jay-Z and Damon Dash. The plus-size lingerie line earned purchase orders from Belaggio Hotels and MGM Grand in Las Vegas and various specialty boutiques around the country.

Finally, Ms. Stewart launched a modern Home Shopping Channel on the Brightcove Network called 100Largetv, featuring Paris-based Makeup Forever. Most recently she helped to launch the online fashion magazine Essence.com for Time Warner and spearheaded an online women’s plus-size apparel strategy for Wal-Mart stores via a new digital advertising agency.

“I have been working with Tukatech systems since 1995 when they started developing CAD systems with Israel-based programmers. They were way ahead of every CAD system then and surpassed the expectations of many experts in the product development process,” said Ms. Stewart.

“She is a rare find in our business, her quest to automate an archaic industry in dire need of technology advancements and her deep understanding of design and the global supply chain is a real asset for all. She is working out of our New York office,“added Mr. Ram Sareen, Founder & CEO of TUKAgroup.
