Mahindra Satyam announces New Leadership in Europe

Vikram Nair to head the Europe Operations. Roger Newman to head Manufacturing and Digital Convergence Relationship Management in the UK.

Mahindra Satyam, the new brand identity of Satyam Computer Services Ltd has recently reorganized its structure following its acquisition by Tech Mahindra. The company has introduced the “Two in a Box” approach that combines sales and delivery functions into a single integrated business unit to increase account focus, responsiveness, and enhance customer satisfaction.

In the new structure, Vikram Nair will head the business operations of Europe and will be responsible for the growth and expansion of Mahindra Satyam in the Region. He will focus on driving synergies between Tech Mahindra and Mahindra Satyam in Europe to leverage mutual business strengths and increase revenue from the region.

Since August 2005 Vikram headed up European operations for Tech Mahindra. He joined Tech Mahindra to establish and grow business across Europe outside of the BT account. Over the last three years, Tech Mahindra has established itself as a leading provider of SI services to the Telecom operators in UK, Germany, Benelux and Scandinavia, working with most of the major Operators in these regions.

“Vikram has extensive expertise in the IT services industry in Europe. He understands the pulse of the market and has successfully led companies to grow their business in the Region. We are very confident that he will be able to add value to Mahindra Satyam’s presence in Europe”, said CP Gurnani, CEO, Mahindra Satyam.

Vikram on his new role, “It is a very challenging role, as the company has recently rebranded itself and has set an objective of expanding its operations & business in Europe. We will continue to work closely with our existing customers, alliances and and partners.”

Roger Newman will head Manufacturing and Digital Convergence Relationship Management – UK. He will be responsible for Satyam’s business development and relationship management for the Manufacturing, Energy & Utilities and Digital Convergence (DC) verticals in the UK. Roger also manages the Media and Entertainment vertical (part of DC) on a global basis. Roger has been with the company since 2001.

Aloke Palsikar to head the Central European & Nordic Operations

Aloke Palsikar will head the Central European & Nordic Operations of Mahindra Satyam
And manage client relationships in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Nordic countries and Eastern Europe and is based in Germany. Aloke has been associated with the European Region for the past 20 years. Prior to joining Mahindra Satyam in 2003, Aloke worked as Head of Marketing for the European Region with Larsen & Toubro Infotech and was also the Managing Director of their German Subsidiary between 2000 and 2002.

Suneel Unni to head the South Europe & Benelux Operations

Suneel Unni will head the South Europe & Benelux region for Mahindra Satyam. Suneel has over 25 years of experience in various industries which include Telecom, Consumer Products and IT. His focus areas are on new business acquisition, relationship management, people management and customer care. Suneel has been with the company in Southern Europe since 2005.

Guita Blake to head Financial Services, Retail & Public Sector Business for Mahindra Satyam in the UK and Ireland

Guita Blake heads the Financial Services, Retail & Public Sector Business in UK and Ireland for Mahindra Satyam. Guita brings 18 years of experience in IT Services and BFSI with major global IT Service providers serving blue-chip BFSI organizations such as Barclays Group, Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank, HSBC and Lloyds TSB Insurance. She has been with the company since 2008.
