ESI Group’s Chairman and CEO is an Invited Speaker of The NAFEMS World Congress 2009

PARIS : ESI Group, pioneer and world-leading supplier of digital simulation software for prototyping and manufacturing processes, announced today the participation of its Chairman and CEO, Alain de Rouvray, as invited speaker at the NAFEMS World Congress 2009 (NWC09). ESI is also proud to be a silver level sponsor of this year’s NWC, providing attendees with an outstanding overview of engineering simulation today and beyond. Indeed, NWC is a world-renowned biennial congress on simulation technology for the engineering analysis community and has become a fixture for the simulation community.

Taking place on June 16th-19th 2009, in Crete, Greece, NWC09 will bring together leading minds in the simulation and analysis world from industrial practitioners, consultancies, academic researchers and software developers. Indeed, in addition to over 150 presentations from experts in the field of simulation and keynote presentations from major industry simulation users, three top-level executives from the major software vendors, have been invited to share their experiences. Among them, Alain de Rouvray will give a talk on ‘Advances in Engineering and Scientific Simulation - End to End Virtual Prototyping’ during the Overview and Challenges’ session on Wednesday, June 17.

“I’m very pleased to take part in the NAFEMS World Congress 2009,” said Alain de Rouvray, Chairman and CEO of ESI Group. “I will illustrate new advances in Engineering and Scientific Simulation, more importantly End-to-End Virtual Prototyping for product performance, materials selection and manufacturing processes,” he continued. “I will also explain how ESI proposes to further promote innovation with Simulation-Based design, where simulation starts immediately in the preliminary design phase, and continues through the detailed design to validate step by step the performance of the complete digital model well before the first real prototype.”

In addition, 3 ESI experts will present papers demonstrating various best practices and breakthrough technologies:

* ‘A Fast and Fully Automated CFD Meshing Solution for Dirty CAD Geometries’ in Session 8C - Software Methods 2
* ‘Simulation of the Hotforming Process’ in Session 2D - Manufacturing 1
* ‘Recent Integration Achievements in Virtual Prototyping for the Automotive Industry’ in Session 7C - Integration 2.
