Final Program to be Announced May 4
Design Automation Conference 2009
BOULDER, Colo - The 46th Design Automation Conference (DAC), the electronic design automation (EDA) industry's premier event, announced today that a total of 796 submissions were received for this year's technical program. The 46th DAC will be held July 26 – 31, 2009 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. The final program will be announced on May 4, 2009.
A total of 681 regular paper submissions were received, a 10 percent increase over the number received the previous year. Topic areas with notable increases in regular paper submissions for the 46th DAC compared to the 45th are: Power Analysis; Physical Design and Manufacturability; Circuit Simulation and Interconnect; Signal Integrity and Reliability; and System Level Design.
DAC also received 115 submissions for the User Track, a new addition to DAC's technical program this year. The DAC User Track will focus on contributions by engineers using EDA tools on real designs, and will highlight best practices in the use of tool flows and methodologies. The User Track will feature up to eight sessions with approximately 30 presentations over three conference days and will provide educational and networking benefits for end-users as well as tool developers.
"This year's strong turnout of DAC paper submissions reflects the wide-ranging work being done across industry and academia to solve emerging design issues," said Patrick Groeneveld, Technical Program co-chair, 46th DAC Executive Committee. "Now the hard work of reviewing the papers is underway. Before the program is finalized, well over 4,000 reviews will be completed by hundreds of external reviewers, our 72-member Technical Program Committee, and our 20-member User Track Committee. We are grateful for the efforts of these distinguished volunteers. Their efforts, along with the efforts of so many researchers and practitioners worldwide who authored DAC submissions, remain the key to DAC's leading-edge technical program."
