VALENCIA, Calif. : ZoomRP.com, a division of Solid Concepts, has announced the addition of two additional fast delivery products - SLA White and SLS White prototype parts. ZoomRP.com was launched in September, offering fast-turn PolyJet White parts fabricated and shipped the day of the order. The company has now expanded its rapid prototyping services to include both SLA and SLS parts on a “build tomorrow” basis.
ZoomRP.com’s PolyJet product offers high resolution prototype models with excellent feature definition; it’s ideal for smaller parts fitting within about a 5” cube. The SLA and SLS options open up opportunities for fast delivery of larger parts, up to about 20” x 20” x 8”. Utilizing SLA technology, ZoomRP.com customers can receive large parts at a reasonable price. The SLS technology provides small to large parts made of a durable Nylon material.
The ZoomRP.com website provides a self-service interface allowing users to easily order prototype parts online with delivery times not available elsewhere in the prototyping industry. “We currently have up to 33 rapid prototyping machines supporting the ZoomRP.com product offerings,” said Chuck Alexander, Sr. Production Manager. “With that kind of capacity, we can offer exceptional speed and value that others can’t.”
ZoomRP.com allows a user to upload an STL file to a quote interface where they can review the cost of producing a part in different materials with different shipping options. The website has a backend system that screens parts to assure promised delivery dates will be met. Parts that are ordered on the site by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time may qualify for “ship today” delivery.
“The system allows people to upload a part today and have it in their hands via FedEx delivery tomorrow,” said Scot Thompson, Business Development Manager for Solid Concepts.
