ECAD, Inc. announced today that as of August 1, 2011, the company will begin offering the industry acclaimed AutoCAD Plant 3D software—while officially discontinuing its sale of the Intergraph suite of products.
"Our customers expect us to know their industry, know their design needs and know the best products for the job," said ECAD President and CEO, Carole Eckert. "And by offering AutoCAD Plant 3D, we're not just helping them acquire a cutting-edge product—we're helping them transition into the future of CAD design for the power and process field."
AutoCAD Plant 3D is produced by Autodesk. The new program showcases features developed specifically for 3D plant design, including an improved workspace, spec-driven technology and a customizable library of standard equipment elements.
While ECAD will no longer sell Intergraph software, they will continue honoring current subscriptions for customers using the incumbent programs. Separate support options will also be available to customers who choose to purchase Intergraph products elsewhere, but want to continue receiving ECAD's respected technical support after their software subscriptions expire.
