Las Vegas, NV – AWFS 2011 will feature the latest in the line of powerful Mastercam machining software. Stop by booth # 2211 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, NV, July 20-23, for a look at Mastercam Router X5. Mastercam Router X5 continues the trend of faster and more efficient programming with new enhancements that will keep your shop ahead of the competition. Automatic Toolpathing improvements and solids support in nesting combine with new enhancements in a comprehensive router package intended to improve shop floor productivity.
In Mastercam Router X5, both Rectangular and TrueShape Nesting support solid operations, including operations created by Feature Based Machining toolpaths.
Automatic Toolpathing (ATP)
Mastercam includes an Automatic Toolpathing option which can read in entire projects and have them automatically programmed using presets that you choose. Mastercam Router X5 includes several improvements to ATP, including the ability to:
· Easily update strategies by updating existing level scans
· Quickly add new operations from within the Strategy Manager
· Add multiple materials on-the-fly in standard ATP mode
Feature Based Machining Block Drill Support
Mastercam X5 Feature Based Machining (FBM) Drill now recognizes block drill units that are configured in the active Router machine definition. FBM Drill can automatically assign block drill operations to the job when the tools that are in the block drill definition are appropriate for the hole features on your part. If there are hole sizes that cannot be drilled with the active block drill configuration, they can be automatically processed using a standard tool in the main spindle.
Other new enhancements include:
- Drag and drop editing of nested sheets, including dragging parts from one sheet to another
- Feature Based Machining (FBM) improvements
- WCS support for ATP single part processing
- Smart hybrid finishing and hybrid leftover machining
- Multiaxis improvements
