Delcam’s Korean joint venture, Hankook Delcam will again have the largest stand of any CADCAM company at this year’s SIMTOS exhibition (Seoul International Machine Tool Show) to be held from 13th to 18th April at the Kintex International Convention Center in Koyang City. The Hankook Delcam staff will be joined on the stand by Delcam Managing Director, Clive Martell, an indication of the importance of the Korean market and the SIMTOS exhibition to the company.
Hankook Delcam was founded as a joint venture between Delcam and company President Chan-Oong Jeong in 1990. The company has subsequently dominated the CAM industry in Korea, especially in the tool and mouldmaking sectors. It has also been successful in promoting Delcam’s design and inspection software in the country. Hankook Delcam’s user meetings are recognized internationally as the largest in the CAM industry, with over 1,000 delegates attending the 20th anniversary meeting held last year.
Hankook Delcam has won several awards for its work in improving and developing competiveness of Korea’s manufacturing industry and also for its support of the education of engineering students. As well as supplying the latest CADCAM technology from Delcam, Hankook Delcam is renowned for the high levels of support it provides for its customers.
At this year’s SIMTOS show, Hankook Delcam will introduce the latest technology from Delcam’s Advanced Manufacturing Division and will launch programs from the Healthcare Division in Korea. These will include the DentCAD and DentMILL programs for the dental industry and the OrthoModel and OrthoMill software for the design and manufacture of orthotics.
Staff from Hankook Delcam will present the four papers in the CADCAM conference that will be held alongside the exhibition. On 15th April, Mr. Jeong will present "Quality Control & Productivity Improvement Strategies for Manufacturing Process Innovation”, Hankook Delcam Director, Yang-woo Lee, will cover "5-axis & High-Performance Machining Strategies,” and Sales Manager, Jin-sung Son, "Design Process Innovation for Machining”. On 16th April, "CADCAM Technology for Manufacture of Customized Insoles” will be covered by Sales Representative, Choong-eun Lee.
