NEW ORLEANS -- TurboSquid, the world's largest online marketplace of 3D assets, in conjunction with Autodesk(R) Seek, the online source for building product design information, have launched Revit Market, a marketplace for users of Autodesk's Revit Platform for building information modeling (BIM) to browse, buy and sell user-generated Revit(R) content through a TurboSquid-powered marketplace.
"TurboSquid's proven track record and leadership in building marketplaces for user-generated 3D content makes them an outstanding partner to Autodesk Seek," said Jeff Wright, senior director, Autodesk Content Solutions. "By complementing the manufacturer-specific product models available to designers through Autodesk Seek, Revit Market will further extend the leadership position of Autodesk Seek as the one-stop-shop for Revit and AutoCAD content."
Complementing the Autodesk Seek web service, which gives architects and engineers unparalleled access to manufacturer building product design information, the new Revit Market will focus on content developed and sold by users and visualization experts working in the Revit(R) Platform and related design applications. Revit Market opens up a new opportunity for content developers and sellers to reach the vast and growing market of Revit Architecture, Revit Structure and Revit MEP users. TurboSquid is the sole Autodesk partner for user-generated Revit content, and designers will be able to access Revit Market via http://seek.autodesk.com and http://www.turbosquid.com.
As part of the official Revit Market launch on December 2nd, TurboSquid and Autodesk will conduct a contest to encourage content developers to create and upload user generated Revit models to Revit Market. The contest will seek to identify and reward the most compelling Revit content published to Revit Market. The contest will run from December 2nd through January 31st, and will feature a variety of cash and prizes from Autodesk and TurboSquid. More information can be found at http://www.turbosquid.com/Revit-Contest.
"We are excited to broaden our relationship with Autodesk. As the world's leader in user-generated 3D content, it makes perfect sense for us to find new ways to partner with the leader in 3D design tools," said Matt Wisdom, CEO of TurboSquid. "We have had great success building our 3D marketplace over the last 8 years, and we're excited to now do the same for Autodesk Seek and the Revit community."
