SAMTECH, a European leader in non-linear CAE simulation, structural optimization and coupled multiphysics, is pleased to announce today the financial support from the Belgian Government to extend the capabilities of its simulation management platform CAESAM.
The Belgian Government implemented several financial tools aiming at supporting Belgian high-tech companies to develop themselves on new markets, to explore new projects or to engage long-term development or R&D investments. For some years, specific programs have been set up to support Belgian companies involved in trans-national and long-term R&D projects. SAMTECH benefits from this co-financial support to invest in ambitious and innovative developments to extend its state-of-the-art CAESAM, with Structural Optimization capacities.
In the frame of the standardization policy of the tools and methods deployed by numerous aircraft manufacturers worldwide, the mass reduction is still a key factor.
In order to integrate easily new and powerful optimization techniques allowing the analysis of increasingly large size and complex aeronautical components, SAMTECH will implement complementary functionalities inside CAESAM.
The objective is to guarantee the adequacy of the platform to the future needs of the industry.
“The project is particularly ambitious since it imply to integrate the state-of-the-art Structural optimization features in a very short time since the operational version will be deployed by example at AIRBUS beginning of 2012”, explained Eric Carnoy, SAMTECH Headquarters CEO. “By co-financing such trans-national projects, the Belgian government helps Belgian high-tech companies to support a huge pre-investment. But it contributes also to enhance regional & international business, subcontracting, collaborations with R&D centers, local employment...and to position Belgium as a major player on the worldwide aerospace market, mainly lead by US actors.”
