As the market leading Edgecam system continues to grow in the South East Region of the United States, a new dedicated resource has been set up to provide a direct service to customers.
Part of the Planit Software group, Edgecam is a complete CAM software solution for production machining and mold & die applications, capable of programming milling, turning and mill-turn machines. A new South East Regional Office has been opened to provide additional support for the growing customer base. Earl Thornton has been appointed Edgecam business development manager for the region, and recruitment is underway for a dedicated support engineer.
Edgecam Channel Manager Domenic Lanzillotta said: “Customers tell us the difference between a good CAM software company and a really great one, is the ongoing backup support they get. As a result of the continued growth of Edgecam in the region, we realised the time was right to set up this dedicated resource to further assist our customers, who range from automotive and aircraft companies, to those producing household items.”
A number of events are planned to introduce Edgecam’s new regional resources to local customers, and new partnerships are being formed with machine tool distributors. “With unrivalled ease of use and sophisticated toolpath generation, Edgecam has an extensive range of 2 – 5 axis milling, turning and mill/turn strategies, seamless CAD integration, and sophisticated automation tools,” said Domenic Lanzillotta.
“Designed to cope with programming the simplest to the most complex components and offering full support for the latest CAD, machine tool and tooling technology, its degree of automation is what makes Edgecam unique amongst CAM software.”
Earl is a seasoned veteran in the manufacturing industry, with many years experience of providing a service to CAD/CAM users.
