New Delhi – Dassault Systèmes has announced the ‘4thDassault Systèmes PLM Executive Summit 2010’ at The Hotel Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. The 4th chapter of the summit, an annual activity for Dassault Systèmes is around the theme of “Lifelike Experience - Product in Life”.
The current chapter of the summit takes the sustainable innovation story further ahead by introducing the concept of “Lifelike experience” as a catalyst to achieving Sustainable Innovation for businesses. As part of the summit, Dassault Systèmes will throw the house open for showcasing customer case studies, exclusive testimonials from its global partners and industry business leaders who will share their thoughts on achieving lifelike experience in their respective areas of operations. This year the summit will cover6 high-growth industry verticals when it comes to adoption of PLM solutions, namely Automotive, Aerospace & Defense, Ship Building, Energy & Capital Goods, Education and Knowledge ubiquity through search based applications.
Speaking at the inauguration of the summit, Bernard Charles, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dassault Systèmes said, “At this platform, Dassault Systèmes brings to the table close to three decades of experience in 3D and PLM solutions and wants to share its know-how to benefit its Indian audiences. 3D is becoming a universal language for people all across to learn, discover and innovate. The company has been dedicated to delivering true 3D lifelike experience that sets the imagination free and allows for rich interactivity. Our ultimate goal is to enable sustainable innovation by leveraging the 3D lifelike experience to make our world a better one.” He further added, “Lifelike experience will immediately impact large industry sectors such as automotive, aerospace and energy followed by consumer oriented industries such as companies who deal in consumer goods, fashion & apparel, retail and entertainment.”
This summit will promote the importance of creation of a “3D Lifelike Experience” ecosystem for business transformation. This is the way business will be conducted: from discovery and innovation to product development, through manufacturing, marketing, retailing, and ultimately, to consumer participation. This will be a virtual collaboration tool to help save on space and time during the entire production cycle. Additionally, lifelike experience is based on the understanding of bringing science and technology to real life; a human-to-computer interaction that amounts to a natural world interaction. Dassault Systèmes regards the 3D experience as enabling the user to discover, experience, innovate, and learn; taking intelligence to new levels in living spaces and ultimately consumer experience.
The company goals are to maintain stability in management, continue to evolve and provide high-quality solutions across all of Dassault Systèmes brands (CATIA, SIMULA, DELMIA, ENOVIA, Solidworks, Exalead and 3DVIA) on the V6 architectural platform, and build strong, industry-focused PLM solutions.
Dassault Systèmes is also moving well beyond the traditional industry sectors that have long been the core of PLM, to industry sectors like energy, utilities, construction, consumer goods and retail, life sciences and very importantly, into the areas of sustainability and environment. Moreover, the company is building communities that represent all stakeholders in the lifecycle development process across multiple industries and design disciplines. Providing customers with the capability to innovate and compete in global markets with new and emerging technology remains the company’s prime directive.
