Speakers Announced for PLM Road Map

Collaborative Product Development Associates (CPDA), a provider of
critical analyses for PLM decisions, announces details of the speaker
line-up for its PLM Road Map™ 2008 conference, which will be held on
September 23 & 24 at The Inn at St. John's, located in Plymouth,
Michigan. Now in its fifteenth year, this highly acclaimed event
offers a program that delivers expanded analysis of the years most
critical business and technology issues in Product Lifecycle
Management.

The theme for this year's conference takes a look at the payoffs and
challenges of a PLM integration surge and kicks off with a
presentation from HP's Christian Verstraete who will look at what is
required to optimize an extended supply chain and will share
approaches that address the rising challenges confronting product
development efforts. Consideration follows to the need for achieving
continuous improvement. Lockheed Martin's Christopher Blake will
explain how continuous improvement requires the institutionalization
of the basic process. He will share his experiences and lessons
learned at Lockheed Martin, which has successfully set a course to get
back to basics, driving institutionalized process as a standard base.
Sogeti High Tech's, Philippe Sottocasa will share approaches he has
used in developing a design/simulation framework. Rounding out the
morning, Michael Hoseus, co-author of the book Toyota Culture will be
on hand to share critical aspects of his thirteen years at Toyota
Motor Manufacturing's Georgetown plant. Michael will share lessons
learned in adapting and applying Toyota principles in the U.S.

A series of conference break-out sessions will follow. Each session
will offer a range of stimulating, in-depth presentations made by a
dynamic group of speakers who will share not only their first-hand
experiences in addressing key PLM issues but how they are gaining true
business value from their technology investments.

The conference will conclude on Wednesday afternoon with a plenary
session featuring presentations that will consider globalization and
the future of PLM. Opening the afternoon, IBM's Peter Robison will
review a framework for the complete product lifecycle based on the
ability of functional modeling techniques to manage the interaction
between requirements and functions. Stephen Bashada of Siemens PLM
Software will then highlight the next generation of PLM and its impact
in enabling manufacturing companies to transform their businesses.
Finally, GM's Terry Kline will offer lessons on the success of GM's
Information Systems and Services driving virtual product development
globally.
