products are now available for AutoCAD 2007.
The improved features of AutoCAD 2007 include an enhanced user
interface, improved annotation capability and the introduction of
dynamic blocks.
This increased efficiency again further enhances the benefits of the
MultiSUITE products. The core technology has now been optimised for
Microsoft Windows XP.
Both the MultiSTEEL and MultiREBAR products automate the creation of
intelligent drawing objects for steel and reinforced concrete bar
information. The drawings produced are to a highly professional
standard and information from the drawings can be presented as user
defined reports and schedules.
The AutoCAD 2004 release, with a new compressed file format,
represented a massive efficiency gain in terms of file sharing,
manipulation and storage. A typical reinforced concrete detail
drawing in MultiREBAR, with its integral bending schedules, was
reduced by 60% from 2.0 to 0.8Mb. AutoCAD 2007 further augmented this
file management capability with improvements to the Sheet Set Manager
and retention of the file format.
Now AutoCAD 2007 builds on these existing functions with an improved
user interface and new tools for formatting and annotation. Users can
manipulate blocks, add 'real' text, carry out complex calculations
within the application and set parameters for drawings in real-time
via the on-screen graphics cursor. All of which gives users yet more
flexibility and control to better enhance the performance of the
structural drawing tools offered by MultiSUITE, and in the way that
they choose. After all, customisation is the watchword of AutoCAD
2007.
MultiSUITE products can be used as stand-alone on a single PC or fully
networked via the MultiSUITE Network Licence Manager. This enables
multiple users to work simultaneously on the same design, regardless
of location. In combination with the enhanced network licensing and
distribution tools of AutoCAD 2007, monitoring of licences is now
easier, allowing unused licences to be freed up when a workstation has
been left unattended for a period of time.
The open file policy operated by MultiSUITE products ensures fluid
data transfer between file types and other applications, such as
design and analytical tools. The degree of functionality offered to
end users continues to be refined with regular product upgrades.
