Theorem Solutions validation & checking tools can be incorporated into any data exchange process

Theorem Solutions , world leading supplier of PLM interoperability solutions provides fully tailored solutions to meet any data Validation & Checking requirement in-line with existing company procedures and processes.

Theorem Solutions Validation and Checking Solutions can be incorporated into any translation process to verify that the resulting translated data is the same as the original source data, helping to overcome one of the most challenging aspects of data exchange.

Whatever data validation & checking process used, if any at all, Theorem has the ability to automate the entire process guaranteeing the resulting data is what it says it is!

Generic processes can be developed removing the manual and time consuming task of the checker to compare every reported message from each translation.

Theorem's Process Manager (TPM) automatically summarizes them in to a report. If and only if the messages indicate a condition that should be checked, will an exception report be produced and a requirement for manual examination of a specific translation is then automatically triggered.

Theorem's solutions support all common validation types including: Mass Properties, Cloud of Points and PMI/MBD.

Different data types that can be validated & checked include: 3D CAD Geometry, 3D Product Structure, 3D CAD PMI (GD&T), 2D Data.

Theorem's Validation and Checking solutions:

Save time and resource by automating manual data checking procedures
Verify translated data is the same as the original source data with fully automated processes
Summarized notifications are automatically produced, highlighting potential issues arising from translation
Tailored solutions to meet any data validation & checking requirement inline with existing procedures and processes
All common data validation types supported including: Mass Properties, Cloud of Points and PMI/MBD

Theorem delivers more cost saving power in new TPM V3

New multi-administor, archiving and audit trail facilities.

In the current economic climate Theorem's TPM is attracting considerable attention as a powerful and yet ‘easy to use' means of saving money. It does this through automating data exchange and collaboration processes and optimising the use of computing resource. TPM V3 brings enhancements designed to extend these benefits and further enhance TPM's costs saving effects.

Automating data exchange and optimising computing resources create savings in man hours and tangible financial saving through the avoidance of direct expenditure on computer resources. Expenditure that without TPM would be necessary to achieve the improved efficiencies demanded by the current difficult economic climate.

Now a new release of TPM, TPM V3 is even more powerful and delivers new administration and management capabilities. TPM V3 now has the capability to accommodate multiple system administrators thereby allowing enhanced control of job scheduling and load sharing through the optional use of user sub groups, each with their own administrator. This development means that the costs saving capability of TPM V3 can now be finely tuned to the precise requirements of individual groups of users.

TPM V3 provides this capability for both local and wide area configurations and this means that multi-site installations can benefit from local and/or centralised administration, offering the opportunity for savings to be made through improved local procedures and through optimised administration and control.

TPM V3 also includes application enhancements providing, additional functionality in its data archiving functions and improved automatic audit trail creation.

Theorem Solutions Releases CATIA V5 Multi-CAD Module

LOVELAND, OH : Theorem Solutions, Inc. announces the release of a new CATIA V5 Multi-CAD module that will greatly assist CATIA users. With the use of the new module, users will find that external translations are no longer required and high-quality data is assured. In addition, the new module assures users that the latest version of the imported file is always used.

CATIA V5 users working with Theorem's new Multi-CAD module can forget about translating non-CATIA parts that might be needed for their work. By simply using the CATIA command "insert existing component," the CATIA V5 user can now select and insert non-CATIA geometry including NX, Pro/E and I-DEAS, eliminating the need to carry out an external translation.

This new streamlined workflow provides the user with a much easier working environment, and the use of Dassault Systemes' development tools in the creation of this exciting interoperability development ensures that the data imported is of the highest quality.

The level of interoperability is such that the Multi-CAD module monitors parts or assemblies inserted in this way and if they change, the user is alerted and an automatic update takes place in CATIA V5. Multi-CAD for CATIA V5 provides the user with the highest possible levels of interoperability with NX, Pro/E and I-DEAS files and assemblies.

Based in the U.K. with sales and support offices in the U.S., Theorem Solutions is a privately held company founded in 1990. Theorem Solutions is a world leader in the field of product data exchange and interoperability with customers in the automotive, aerospace, power generation and transportation industries. Theorem Solutions' Data Interoperability Products Save BAE Systems Time and Cost Associated With Data Migration Efforts

LOVELAND, OH : Theorem Solutions, Inc. announces that the successful implementation of a Theorem solution on the Nimrod MRA4 CAD migration project by BAE Systems has helped the company to significantly reduce IT costs associated with maintaining two CAD systems, instead of one, over the life of the aircraft and has also eliminated prohibitive costs associated with manual methods of migration.

The Nimrod MRA4 is a maritime reconnaissance and attack aircraft used for maritime reconnaissance, anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface unit warfare, and search and rescue missions. In December 1996, BAE Systems was awarded a contract to remanufacture some Nimrod MR mk2 aircraft to the new Nimrod MRA4 specification including new mission, sensor and avionics systems.

To facilitate this task, BAE Systems selected a combination of standard CADverter translators, bespoke checking software and Theorem Process Manager (TPM) to migrate the Nimrod wing design data into a single CAD system, resulting in major financial and time savings.

Faced with a possible costly manual migration and manual checking process as Nimrod data is moved from CADDS5 to CATIA V4, BAE systems implemented a comprehensive migration and automatic checking system from Theorem Solutions.

Working with Theorem, BAE Systems created a statement of work, initially implemented in a Proof of Concept phase, and then successfully further developed to a full production implementation. The outcome of less than 12 months' work is a process that runs automatically under the control of Theorem's TPM, translating batches of CADDS5 models and drawings, comparing pre and post translation models and drawings, creating reports for manual checking where required and maintaining a full audit trail throughout.

TPM was designed to automate any manual, time-intensive batch processes or Back Office activities that have historically created bottlenecks for manufacturers. TPM automates, schedules, manages and controls these processes and can be set up to process these tasks during off-hours when most computers and workstations sit idle.

Stuart Thurlby, Theorem's Managing director, said, "I have rarely seen a project implemented so effectively and providing such a clear and substantial return on investment. We are delighted to have worked with BAE Systems on this venture."
