Legrand Electric Joins SmartPlant® 3D Enthusiastic Followers to Design and Manage More Efficient and Accurate Cable Routing

The deal further strengthens Intergraph's position among plant suppliers.

Legrand, a global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures covering cable management, wiring devices, and power distribution equipment, has joined the increasing number of Intergraph® SmartPlant® 3D customers by purchasing consultancy services for Intergraph's powerful next-generation 3D design solution. Legrand's desire for greater market penetration directed them to Intergraph's Process, Power & Marine division and its services.

The project will create all necessary data files and libraries to use Legrand's Swifts Cable Ladder & Cable Tray and Cablofil Wire Mesh Cable Tray specification data in SmartPlant 3D and PDS, which will make Legrand's extensive product offer more accessible to its clients. Using a library of intelligent cable ladder and cable tray product models inside a highly productive 3D design software system allows design teams to produce accurate and efficient cable management routing schemes, plans and procurement lists, as a fully integrated part of the overall plant design.
